Grandstand & Paddock Tickets enable you to visit all ground floor public areas including the Bell Hall of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand with it's extensive bars and fast food outlets, the Red Rum Bar, Family Bar and Pre-Parade Ring.
Premier Badges give you the added bonus of being able to use the first floor and upper terraces of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand, the Patterson Bar, and the Swifts Restaurant. The dress code for the Premier enclosure is one of smart casual.
Families and Children are always welcome at the races and for children under 16 years of age, accompanied by an adult, admission is FREE. Baby changing facilities are available in both Grandstand & Paddock and Premier Enclosure. Childrens entertainment is arranged for certain meetings throughout the year. Disabled Racegoers may take advantage of a designated parking area and a viewing platform on the first floor of The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand. Premier badges are required but these can be purchased at Grandstand & Paddock Tickets price, and a complimentary badge will be provided to an accompanying assistant.
Dogs Are permitted on the Racecourse but should be kept on leads and under strict control at all times.
Dress Code For the Grandstand and Paddock areas there is no specific dress code but it is preferred no sports shorts or denim shorts. Carlisle Racecourse reserves the right to refuse entry or ask any person to leave if their attire is thought to be unsuitable. For Premier enclosure the dress code is that of smart casual and we especially encourage getting dressed up for some of our bigger meetings. Ladies night is especially famous for the diverse array of beautiful hats and there is a prize for the best dressed lady. Getting dressed up can really make a day at the races all the more fun!
Parking
Coach and car parking is free of charge in the raceday car parks located adjacent to the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand.Please follow the directional signs to the public car parks as you approach the racecourse. The course is fully signposted from Junction 42 of the M6 and from the surrounding areas.
Media/Photographers
Band management retain all image rights. Any photographer that is felt to be impeding or contravening these rights without accreditation and prior written consent will be requested to leave and escorted from the premises.
TRACKSIDE CAR PARKING
DUE TO HEALTH & SAFETY REASONS THERE WILL BE NO TRACKSIDE CAR PARKING AVAILABLE ON SATURDAY 3RD JULY & MONDAY 2ND AUGUST. ALL PARKING WITH THE EXCEPTION OF BLUE BADGE HOLDERS WILL BE LOCATED IN THE RACEDAY CAR PARKS.
