The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Ladies Night 2010 (Evening Racing) Monday 2nd August 2010 Location: Carlisle Racecourse, Durdar Road, Carlisle, Cumbria, CA2 4TS The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Ladies Night. An absolute must for everyone! Ladies Night combines all the thrills of flat racing with prizes for the ‘Best Dressed Lady’, ‘Best Dressed Gent’ and ‘Best Hat, plus ladies goody bags and the chance to win a fabulous prize from jewellers Beadle & Hill worth approx £4000!!! The evening will be completed with musical entertainment after racing by BJORN AGAIN. Gates open at 4pm. There will be goody bags for the first 50 ladies though the gates. There will also be a presentation for the best dressed lady, best dressed gent and the best hat. On top of this, all racegoers will be entered in to a free prize draw to win a Pequignet watch and matching bracelet and earrings. Plus an array of trade stands and post- race entertainment from BJORN AGAIN. Grandstand and Paddock Tickets: The Grandstand and Paddock tickets give you access to the race meeting and concert and enable you to visit all ground floor public areas including the Bell Hall of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand with its extensive bars and fast food outlets, the Red Rum Bar, The Office Bar, Silks Cafe, parade ring and pre-parade ring. Please use your ticket to gain entry at the main turnstiles on your arrival.
Premier Badges - SOLD OUT: The Premier badges give you access to the race meeting and concert and enable you to gain access to all the ground floor areas and also the first floor and upper terraces of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand, the Patterson Bar & Premier Patio Bar. The dress code for the Premier Enclosure is smart casual. Please use your badges to gain entry at the Premier Entrance to the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand upon your arrival.

Premier Enclosure: £20.00 - SOLD OUT Grandstand and Paddock: £15.00 Concessions: £8.00 (For OAPs and Students, proof may be required. Concession tickets can only be purchased on the day, not in advance) Parking: There is a free public car park opposite the Main Grandstand. For children under 16 years of age, accompanied by an adult, admission is FREE.

BJORN AGAIN (Abba Tribute band) Live in Concert (from the main stage on the steeplechase course) 10.30pm Bars close **All timiings subject to change Location of the stage The stage for the concert is located on the steeplechase course it is an outdoor concert and the stage can be viewed by all ticket/badge holders. THE Edinburgh Woollen Mill Ladies Night 2010 AFTER RACING PARTY!!! 'Party On' after the racing at The Office Bar, Botchergate until the early hours with a Live DJ, Champagne and Canapès on arrival. (Please note this is not the Office bar on site, but it's sister bar in Botchergate: 01228 631314). All racegoers gain free admission to this upon proof of entry to the races. Parking Coach and car parking in free of charge. Please follow the directional signs to the public car parks as you approach the racecourse. The course is fully signposted from Junction 42 of the M6 and from the surrounding areas. TRACKSIDE CAR PARKING: Due to health and safety reasons, there will be NO Trackside parking available on Monday 2nd August, with exception to blue badge holders. All parking with be located in the raceday car parks. Food and drink A range of food and drink will be available to purchase on the site. Please do not bring any food, alocohol, bottles, cans or contrainers with you as they will not be allowed on site. Can I bring a BBQ? No BBQ’s are not permitted on site. Public access: This is a ticketed event Please keep hold of your ticket throughout the day (as proof of purchase) Dress code If you have purchased Premier tickets, the dress code is smart casual. Jeans are fine as long as they are not ripped. For grandstand and paddock ticket holders, there is no dress code. As it is Ladies Day, many people like to take this opportunity to dress up. There will be awards for the best dressed lady, best dressed gent and best hat. However, this is personal preference. Are we allowed to bring our dogs with us to a Race Day? Dogs are permitted on the Racecourse but should be kept on leads and under strict control at all times. Cash Machine: There is no cash machine on site so bring plenty of money with you. Cigarette Machine: There is no cigarette machine on site. Is there access and viewing for wheelchairs? Yes disabled racegoers may take advantage of a designated parking area and a viewing platform on the first floor of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand. Premier badges are required (at Grandstand & Paddock price) and a complimentary badge will be provided to the accompanying carer. Can I bring my own fold away chair? Visitors are quite welcome to bring their own fold away chairs to our race meetings. Location of the Racecourse from Train Station: The Racecourse is two miles south of the city. It is approximately a 15 minute taxi drive from the City Centre. There is a taxi rank outside the train station. Bus Service: Stagecoach provide a public service from Carlisle Bus Station to the Racecourse on racedays. The buses depart from Carlisle Bus Station 75 minutes and 45 minutes prior to the first race.
