COURSE LAYOUT

Carlisle Racecourse's 1.5 mile track offers both Flat and National Hunt Racing. Well known with trainers for it's tough uphill finish, the course can represent an excellent test of a horse. Ginger McCain ran Red Rum on this course prior to each of his Grand National wins. Many of the Northern trainers also consider the fences to be the most inviting and fair in the Country.
