Family entertainment throughout the afternoon, then a great evening of racing, plus fantastic live music by Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and guest vocalist Alison Moyet, followed by a firework finale!

Parties of 40 plus people - £3 per person

Payment of tickets/booking fees:


Cash, credit/debit cards and cheques are accepted as methods of payment. A £1.50 booking fee will be added to all orders other than online.

Grandstand and Paddock Tickets:

 

The Grandstand and Paddock tickets give you access to the race meeting and concert and enable you to visit all ground floor public areas including the Bell Hall of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand with its extensive bars and fast food outlets, the Red Rum Bar, The Office Bar, Silks Cafe, parade ring and pre-parade ring. Please use your ticket to gain entry at the main turnstiles on your arrival.


Premier Badges:

 

The Premier badge gives you access to all public ground floor areas where you can see the racing, entertainment, concert and fireworks. It also gives you access to the Patio Bar and Patterson Bar on the first floor of the Grandstand. However please note that there is extremely LIMITED seating at this event including within the Patio and Patterson Bars.

  

Dress Code:

 

There is no dress code in the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure. The dress code for the Premier Enclosure is smart casual - you may wear jeans, dress shorts are permitted but no sports shorts.

 

Seating

 

Please note this is NOT a seated event and there is limited seating throughout the Racecourse. You may bring your own fold away chairs with you but please note this is at your own risk.

 

Ticket Collections

 

If you have booked your tickets via our ticket hotline and have been asked to collect these from the Racecourse, they will be ready for collection at the following times and points:

 

Thursday 1st July between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm

Collection Point: The Racecourse Office, Carlisle Racecourse

 

Friday 2nd July between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm

Saturday 3rd July between the hours of 9.00am and 12.00noon

TICKET MASTER TICKETS - Any Grandstand & paddock tickets that have been booked through Ticketmaster must be collected from the pre-paids collection desk in the Premier Entrance on Saturday 3rd July from 3.00pm.

 

The Carlisle Tourism Partnership Children’s Entertainment (3.00pm until 6.30pm):

 

There will be a number of children’s entertainments throughout the afternoon including Go Kart Party, Punch & Judy Shows, Face Painting, Jason the Jester and Mobile Climbing Wall. All children’s entertainment is free. .

 

There will be a crèche available for children aged 3 to 8 years old, the charge for the crèche is £1.00 per hour.

 

Location of the Stages:

 

The CFM Radio Road Show stage will be located at the north end of the Grandstand and the main stage for the Jools Holland concert will be located on the steeplechase course. This is an outdoor concert and the stage can be viewed by all ticket/badge holders.

 

Parking:

 

Coach and car parking is free of charge in the raceday car parks. Please follow the directional signs to the public car parks as you approach the racecourse. The course is fully signposted from Junction 42 of the M6 and from the surrounding areas.

 

TRACKSIDE CAR PARKING:

 

Due to health & safety reasons there will be NO Trackside car parking available on Saturday 3rd July. All parking with the exception of blue badge holders will be located in the raceday car parks. Following a compulsory review (for Safety Certification of these large events) of this meeting by the County Safety Advisory Group and the Police we are unable to accommodate trackside parking at these particular meetings for health and safety reasons. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused but the decision has been made for public safety. We will be deploying 1200 garden seats within the trackside area, which will be available on a first come first served basis.

 

Food and Drink:

 

There will be a high number of extra catering outlet units throughout the site serving food and drinks. Please do not bring any food, alcohol, bottles, cans or containers with you as they will not be allowed into the site.

 

Stagecoach Bus Service for Racegoers

 

To the Racecourse:

From Carlisle Bus Station there will be Stagecoach bus departing at 5.40pm and one at 6.10pm, the fare is £2.00 per person.

 

From the Racecourse to Carlisle City Centre

The Stagecoach Bus Service for racegoers will depart from the front of the main Grandstand on Durdar Road at 9.45pm and 10.00pm, the fare is £2.00 per person.

 

Free Coach Service for Customers

 

From the Racecourse to Carlisle City Centre

 

Please note that a free coach will operate from in front of the main Grandstand on Durdar Road between the hours of 10.30pm and 12.30am. Customers will be dropped off in front of the Lonsdale Cinema building. This will be operated on a first come, first served basis. There are three coaches in operation in a continuous cycle during this time.

 

Disabled Racegoers

There will be a number of disabled parking bays available for blue badge holders on the Trackside Area. To access these please access the site via the Trackside Parking gate. There are also disabled parking bays available in the Raceday Car Parks across the road from the Racecourse. 

 

Viewing of Jools Holland Concert:

 

There will be a reserved viewing area near the stage for disabled racegoers.

This is a ticketed event. Please keep hold of your ticket throughout the day (as proof of purchase).
