| MADNESS to play at The stobart SUMMER FESTIVAL on Saturday, 7TH July | ||
Madness will perform at this years Summer Festival at Carlisle Racecourse on Saturday 7th July. The Nutty Boys, whose hits include Baggy Trousers, One Step Beyond and House of Fun will perform after racing at this increasingly popular annual event. Madness follow Texas and Jools Holland who have performed at previous events to record crowds. Tickets are now on sale and are priced as follows, which includes a £5 discount, for advance bookings made online or though our ticket line: General Admission - £25 Premier Admission - £30 SOLD OUT To buy tickets call 0844 579 3002 or Click Here. The current Madness line up includes six of the band's seven original members. They have had 15 top 10 UK hits and sold over six million singles in their 80s heyday - more than any other UK band during that period. Formed in 1976, The Camden Town based pop/ska group spent a record 214 weeks in the UK singles charts from 1980-1986 with hits like It Must Be Love, Driving in My Car, Embarrassment, Our House and Night Boat to Cairo. Please note that there are no OAP or Student concessions for this event. Children under 5 will be admitted free of charge. Children aged 5-15 will be able to purchase a ticket on the evening for £10 - these tickets cannot be purchased in advance. The capacity for this event has been set lower than for previous events and therefore, with such a great band playing after racing, we expect tickets to sell out well in advance. Last year over 9,000 people attended the Festival to watch Texas perform after racing. Pictures from the 2010 when Jools Holland performed are shown below.
Please note that there will not be a firework display after the Madness concert. | ||
