We are delighted to confirm that Madness have again been booked to play at this year's Stobart Summer Festival on Saturday, 6th July. This increasingly popular event is a great combination of racing followed by a live concert with over 9000 people having attended each of the previous events featuring Texas and Jools Holland.2012 was an incredible year for Madness. They performed on the roof of Buckingham Palace for the Queens Jubilee, played at the 2012 Olympic Closing ceremony and released their 10th Studio album to much acclaim. With numerous hits including House of Fun, Baggy Trousers and It Must Be Love they have been described as a 'national treasure' and we are delighted to bring them to Carlisle. Tickets are now on sale, priced at just £25 for advanced bookings - a £5 discount from the on the day price of £30. A limited number of tickets for children aged 5-17 will be available at a cost of £10 and no more than 2 of these can be purchased per adult ticket. Once these have all been sold then children will need to buy a full price ticket. All children aged under 5 will be admitted free of charge and do not need a ticket. No OAP or Student concessions will apply to this event. Gates open at 3.30pm with the first race at 6.30pm and the Madness concert starting at approximately 9.15pm.
